Other notable plants he has worked on include the Oxnard Advanced Recycled Water Treatment Plant and Silicon Valley Advanced Recycled Water Processing Center, and Los Angeles’ Dr. Pankaj Parekh Ultraviolet Disinfection Facility. He provides seismic and structural evaluations, predesign evaluations; preliminary detailed design criteria; condition assessments; value engineering; constructability reviews; cost estimation; and inspections.
Gary has more than 35 years of structural engineering experience on water and transportation infrastructure. He has been the senior structural engineer and often the project manager responsible for projects of varying scale. As an engineer, Gary is disciplined, astute, and loves to find the to solution to complicated engineering puzzle. His notable water facility projects include the Anderson and Guadalupe Dam Seismic Retrofits for Santa Clara Valley Water District, Pure Water San Diego for the City of San Diego, and the Digester Upgrade Project for East Bay Municipal Utility District’s Main Wastewater Treatment Plant in Oakland. His transportation work includes bridges for Caltrans and the City of Santa Clara. He has conducted constructability reviews and condition assessments; provided cost estimates; performed value engineering; assisted clients with the bidding process and supervised onsite project teams during construction.
