16th and Mission Street North East BART Improvements (facade)

The 16th Street Mission Station is the first BART facility in the Mission District. The surrounding neighborhood is characterized by retail, high-density apartments, residential hotels, and light industrial activities such as car repair, printing, and food preparation and distribution. Along 16th and Valencia are numerous restaurants, bars, and other evening entertainment such as theaters, performance spaces, and galleries.

Beyaz & Patel provided civil engineering services for BART’s 16th & Mission Street Northeast Plaza Access Improvements project including landscaping, drainage, utilities for vendors, new artwork, and ingress/egress improvements. The Access Improvements were the result of BARTs “Access Management and Improvement Policy Framework” which focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and increasing ridership by enhancing access to the BART system.
